Du Fu Thatched Cottage

Du Fu Thatched Cottage is often misunderstood as the constructive work of famous poet Du Fu. Du Fu used to live in Chendu and built a thatched cottage. But it has been ruined in wars and fires. The present one is built by later generations in the honour of Du Fu in 1078. Its traditional style has attracted the eyes of numerous visitors. Du Fu is considered as the "Sage of Chinese Poets".
